Cailin Hillier
Director of Strategy & Innovation
As Director of Strategy & Innovation at w/TACT, Cailin helps organizations design and implement human-centered strategies, navigate complex change, and build healthy, adaptive organizational cultures. She works with forward-thinking leaders across industries to build adaptive, future-ready workplaces.
She specializes in aligning AI strategy and new technologies with human workflows, helping organizations adopt new ways of working that strengthen collaboration, learning, and long-term performance. Her approach to strategic design combines both analytical rigor and human-centred discovery to ensure her work is both practical and people-focused.
Cailin's experience spans groundwater management across municipal hydrogeology, renewable energy operations, and ecosystem building to set Canada's water research agenda. She has managed a startup accelerator stream focused on urban technology, built a culture-focused consultancy, and led user experience research in the design of technology-enabled learning experiences. Cailin holds degrees in engineering and science from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management. She is also a Board Director for the Alton Grange Association, where she manages local trail conservation and facilitates youth-oriented nature stewardship programming.
At her core, Cailin is a systems thinker who is driven by continuous learning and a commitment to building sustainable solutions. Whether supporting organizational transformation or environmental stewardship in her community, she is focused on creating the conditions for people and organizations to thrive.
